includes the government area around the Reichstag with the new Office of the Federal Chancellor and the Paul Löbe Building as well as the Embassy Quarter around Pariser Platz and Tiergarten.

The Divided Berlin

Checkpoint Charlie, the former border crossing between East and West Berlin, reminds us of the long period which Berlin was a divided city.

The New Berlin

includes Potsdamer Platz – one of the most popular attractions with its mix of restaurants, stores, theaters, cinemas, and business areas, which was predominantly designed by Sony and Daimler- Chrysler during the past 10 years.

The Young Berlin

Features exciting night life around the Hackescher Markt, located in Berlin Mitte, the concentrated trendy scene from Oranienburger Straße and its side streets to the courtyard ensemble at Hackesche Höfe. This area is also known as the former Jewish Quarter the Centrum Judaicum/New Synagogue.

The Green Berlin

Located between the Eastern and Western centers is the Tiergarten a large park with an area of 200 hectares.

A city for shopping

Finally, the city is famous for its shopping district around the Kurfürstendamm with different designer stores and the most famous department store – Kaufhaus des Westens-.

Hints:

The shops in Oberammergau are open until 20.00.

In Oberammergau theater and the center can be reached within a few minutes on foot. Parking is available in front of the village; a shuttle bus is available and runs throughout.

After breakfast, transfer to airport

Morning proceed to visit the Mattancherry Palace, built by the Portuguese in 1555. The Palace was presented to the Raja of Cochin as a gesture of goodwill. This was also known as the Dutch Palace (Closed on Friday), resulting from substantial renovation by the Dutch after 1663. The central hall was the Coronation Hall of the Rajas. Their dresses, turbans and palanquins and murals from Hindu mythology are all beautiful and worth seeing. Culminate the tour at Fort Kochi, which is said to be the oldest European settlement in India.

Fort Kochi is the earliest recorded settlement on the Malabar Coast, with its beautiful colonial bungalow peppered with Dutch, Portuguese and Malabar architecture. The many small winding streets with lovely old houses are truly a treasure trove. (Overnight stay in Cochin)
