Step back in time with a visit to the National Museum, a fascinating centre dedicated to Malaysian history and culture.

People constantly flock to the birthplace of Malaysia. Its strategic location led to an economic boom, great enough to cause nations to fight for ruling rights. It is through 600 years of various European influences that gave birth to a unique heritage, customs and lifestyle of the local folks, landing it the UNESCO Heritage site recognition. Malacca was also the state where Malaysia’s declaration of Independence was held. The tour highlights St Peter’s Church, Porta De Santiago and the ruins of St Paul’s Church, Dutch Administration office, Cheng Hoon Teng Temple & Jonker Street. Kampong Morten, this village is probably the only remaining Malay riverine village in Melaka, which still retains its old charm despite nestled within the confines of city comforts. It is more of a “living museum” than a typical Malay village.

Meet upon arrival at Tawau Airport, depart for an approx. 70 minutes transfer to Semporna, board scheduled boat transfer into Kapalai Island. Check-in, freshen up, rest & relax.

Check-out from hotel no later than 11:30hrs, board scheduled boat transfer out to Semporna. Our vehicle will await your arrival at Semporna Jetty and continue to Sandakan (approx. 5 hrs journey).
By 18:00hrs, be ready at “The Flying Squirrel” platform to witness these amazing creatures in action. After dinner,
proceed for Guided Night Walk at our nature board walk going up and down structure next to the Sepilok Protected
Forest Reserve.

08:30hrs, check-out from hotel and depart to Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Center. At this Centre, observe man’s closest relative “the Orang Utan” being rehabilitated to become wild in their natural habitat and experience a walk in the Tropical Lowland Dipterocarp Forest of Borneo. Witness the feeding of Orang Utan at 10:00hrs at the feeding platform and proceed to the Orang Utan Nursery.
At 10:30hrs, visit to the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre, the centre that managed to improve the living condition of the rescued sun bear and released their natural behaviors in the 2.5ha enclosed forest.
After lunch, departure at 12:45hrs for overland transfer to Sukau. Arrive Sukau, check in at Kinabatangan Riverside Lodge. In the late afternoon, enjoy a river cruise to Menanggul River, a small tributary of the Kinabatangan. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight.

Wake up to the calls of gibbons and hornbills. Early morning, take a river cruise trip to the Ox Bow Lake to observe wildlife and experience the early morning river ambience. Return to the lodge for breakfast then free at own leisure. After lunch, proceed afternoon river cruise with electric motor to search for more wildlife.

After breakfast, departure for overland transfer to Sandakan town. Lunch at local restaurant before drop off at airport for flight departure to Kota Kinabalu.
