The main attractions of this unique park are the 16 small lakes, joined by waterfalls and created by the sedimentation of travertine, a special type of limestone. By a network of paths, visitors can get around and access the numerous waterfalls and the rocky lake shores easily. After the visit, proceed to Split.

Breakfast at the hotel, then visit Split with a local guide (transfer to the city center included; return to the hotel on your own).
Split is Croatia’s second largest city, and one of the Adriatic’s most vibrant port cities, stunningly located between mountains and sea. Diocletian’s Palace, the most significant cultural tourist attraction of Split, was built by Diocletian, a Roman emperor notorious for the persecution of Christians. In this luxury palace is where he spent the last few years of his life. Being located in the narrow center of Split, the palace is a must-see attraction for every visitor. It contains a lot of originally preserved ancient sites that include streets, squares, and churches. It was called a palace, but is more like a big fortress, surrounded by walls and towers.
