Overnight in Seoul
After breakfast, our tour guide will pick you up at your hotel lobby and transfer to Suwon Hwaseong Fortress. It is an impressive structure from the latter part of the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910), it was designated as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site. A variety of performances and events are held at the fortress every day and Suwon Hwaseong Cultural Festival takes place here in autumn. Here you will take a train that look like a palanquin of Joseon King and look around the fortress. You can also try ‘Gukgung’ which is the Korean traditional bow. After, transfer to Yongin to visit Korean folk village. It introduces traditional culture from the late Joseon period to both local and international visitors through cultural classes experience, shaman faith, seasonal customs and others. Also, the village shows various places with unique features. There are a variety of performances including Nongak (farmer’s music), martial art on horseback, traditional wedding ceremony, and other special events are available by season. Then, you will head to Daejeon and check in the hotel.
Overnight in Daejeon
After Breakfast, you will meet with the tour guide and transfer to Mt. Daedun. (Takes around 2hours) You will get on the cable car and go up to the peak of the Mt. Daedun. Daedunsan is especially beautiful at fall when its rock peaks are surrounded by the autumnal tints of turning leaves. Then, head to MujuTaekwondowon which is the largest Taekwondo training area. It is a place for practicing “change” with the aim of cultivating the spirit of taekwondo through physical training and the endless quest for mastery of this martial arts form. You will watch Taewondo Performance here. You will continue to Jeonju to visit Hanok Village. There are over 800 traditional Korean Hanok houses. While the rest of city has been industrialized, the Hanok Village retains its historical charms and traditions. You can enjoy traditional Korean life and taste food like Bibimbap, the most well-known dish from the Jeonju region.(Option: Korean traditional food and whisky for dinner)
Overnight in Jeonju
After breakfast, meeting with the tour guide and transfer to Mt. Jirisan to visit Hwaeomsa Temple. It is one of the 10th most famous temples in Korea. It was constructed in the fifth year of King Jinheung’s reign (544) during the Silla Era. There are many national treasures here. The main building Daeungjeon and Bojeru is magnificent and graceful. Keeping its original beauty, Hwaeomsa Temple makes beautiful scenery with the nature around it. Then, head to Suncheon. In this city you will
visit two places. One is SuncheonBay Ecological Park. The fields in Suncheonman Bay are thickly covered with reeds taller than a full-grown man. It is the biggest colony of reeds in Korea. The image of the entire field swaying in the wind is as dazzling as waves on the sea. You can take a boat and cross the bay. The other place is Naganeupseong Folk Village which contains a town castle that is over 18,000 Pyeong (1 pyeong = 3.3 sq m) in size. Within the east, south and west side of the castle, about 100 families still reside, and the castle area has been very well preserved.
Overnight in Suncheon
After breakfast, meeting with the tour guide and transfer to Mt Mireuk. It is considered one of the 100th best mountains in Korea. You will take a cable car and go up to the peak of Mt. Mireuk. From there you can see the breathtaking view of the sea enveloping Tongyeong. After then, move to Historic Park of Geoje, P.O.W Camp. The Park of Geojedo, P.O.W Camp was built to hold prisoners during the Korean War. Out of a total of 170,000 prisoners of war, 20,000 were from China and
150,000 were from North Korea. You can feel the pain of Korean war here. Then, head to Busan via underwater tunnels ‘Geoga Great Bridge’.
Overnight in Busan
After breakfast, meeting with the tour guide and head to Gukje Market which is one of Korea’s largest market; each alleyway
is crowded with stalls, and it connects to Bupyeong Market, Kkangtong Market, and other smaller markets. BIFF Square has contributed to Busan’s newfound status as an international cultural tourist city. The 428 meterlong street stretching from the Buyeong Theater in Nampo-dong to the overpass in Chungmu-dong was divided into “Star Street” and “Festival Street,” and on the eve of the festival each year the “BIFF Square Ground Opening” is held on the street. Busan Tower is a symbol of
Busan that stands proudly 69 m above sea level at a height of 120 m. The top of the tower is modeled after the baldaquin of Dabotap Pagoda in Bulguksa Temple, Gyeongju. Then, you will drop by Tongdosa Temple on the way to Gyeongju. Tongdosa Temple is famous for not having any Buddhist statues in the temple. This is because the real shrines of Buddha are preserved here.
Overnight in Gyeongju
After breakfast, meeting with the tour guide and visit Bulguksa Temple. The temple is the representative relic of Gyeongjuand was designated as a World Cultural Asset by UNESCO in 1995.
The beauty of the temple itself and the artistic touch of the stone relics are known throughout the world. Then you can see Seokguram grotto, located on Tohamsan Mountain, which is the representative stone temple of Korea. It wasdesignated as a World Cultural Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1995. The next place is Daereungwon Tomb Complex. Large ancient tombs of kings and nobles of the Silla Kingdom can be seen around Gyeongju at the Daereungwon Tomb Complex (Cheonmachong Tomb). There are twenty-three large tombs located here. After the tour, you will transfer to Daegu.
Overnight in Daegu.
After breakfast, meeting with the tour guide and transfer to Andong to visit Hahoe Village & Mask Museum. Hahoe Village is both a UNESCO World Heritage Site and an important Folklore Material No. 122.Hahoe Village is a representative traditional Korean folk town and is the home of the Hahoe Mask (National Treasure No. 121) and the Byeolsin Gut Mask Dance. The museum not only displays Hahoe masks, but also other traditional masks from all over the world. The research room houses a wide range of books, documents, and video-audio materials related to masks. The village became even more famous after Queen Elizabeth of England visited on April 21, 1999. Hahoe Village was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List under the category of “Historic Villages in Korea” in 2010. Andong soju museum mainly displays the origin of Andong soju, the making process, Korean folk alcoholic drinks, the lineage of alcohol, and bottles, cups throughout history. The museum also offers a hands-on program and sampling area. The Traditional Food Museum is connected to Andong Soju Museum, so visitors can learn about traditional food and Andong’s folk dish, as well as traditional patterns of rites of passage. Then, you will transfer to Seoul.
Overnight in Seoul
After breakfast, our tour guide will pick you up at your hotel lobby and transfer to Gyeongbokgung Palace which is the biggest and very first royal palace built by Joseon Dynasty in 1395. It served as the main palace representing the power of Joseon Dynasty. Then, visit National Folk Museum which presents historical artifacts that were used in the daily lives of Korean people in the past. The next place is NamsangolHanok Village. This village has five restored traditional Korean houses, a pavilion, a traditional garden, a performance arts stage and a time capsule plaza, making it a perfect spot for both locals and tourists to take a leisure walk. Tongin Market consists of 75 stores, most of which are restaurants and grocery stores. You can enjoy street food with Yeopjeon which is a coin with the year dot. The last destination of the day is Seoul N Tower which is the first tower-type tourism spot in Korea, but also land mark of Seoul. It is the best place to see a bird’s eyes view of Seoul from the top of the tower. And also, it is famous for the K-Drama ‘Love from the star’ shooting place.
Overnight in Seoul
After breakfast, you will meet with a driver at the hotel lobby and transfer to Incheon airport. (B)
