Cape Town was originally colonized by the Dutch east India Company and it became a stop for ships sailing to other parts of the world. After being established as the first European settlement in Southern Africa in 1652, Cape Town quickly became an economic and cultural hub. The city remained a destination for immigrants and is now one of the most multicultural cities in the world. Resting between Table Mountain and the crystal blue waters of Table Bay, Cape Town is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Vibrant city life is balanced with serene natural beauty that appeals to locals and travelers alike.
Cape Winelands Tour includes:
About 40mks to the east of Cape Town, lying in the shadow of a continuous belt of Cape fold mountains, lies a series of generous valleys known as the Cape Winelands – a collection of historic towns, little hamlets and Cape Dutch farmsteads that provide well-regarded South African wines to the world. These mountains create an incredible scenic backdrop for a myriad vines, but they are also one of the reasons wines do so well. Their geological composition provide unique soil conditions that directly affect the character of wine.
